Instructions on this Product |
 |
1) Use your favorite computer program to lay out your printed content on two 8 ½ x 11" pages, according to the following sizes:
- Monogram square for cover: 2 ½ (height) x 2 ½ (width) inches
- Invitation main layout: 4 ¾ x 4 ¾ inches
- Response card: 3 ¼ (height) x 4 ¼ (width) inches
(Refer to the sample print template provided in your package for an example.) Remember that sample layouts, wording, and monogram designs are available in the Bride's Guides section of our site.
2) Print and cut the printed parts of your invitations on the 8 ½ x 11 "Printable Paper" sheets provided in the kit.
3) Take the Main Layout you have printed and on the inside of the pocketfolder on the main panel slip this inside the corner ribbons covering the blank panel underneath.
5) Close the pocketfolder. Take the Japanese paper/band provided in the kit and wrap it around the front flap of the closed invitation about ¼ of an inch above the bottom of the front flap, gluing one end of the band to the other so the band is tight around the flap. Make sure the ends of the bands meet up on the back side of the front flap so the joint is only visible when the pocketfolder is open.
6) Cut a length of ribbon from the 3/8 inch roll of ribbon about 12 inches in length. These strips will be used for the ribbon stripe seen on the cover of the front of the invitation on top of theJapanese paper.
7) Using a hot glue gun, glue the ends of the ribbon so it is about ¾ of an inch from the bottom of the front flap, on top of the Japanese band so that the ends meet up in the center of the flap. Note that the ribbon has a shiny side and a dull side -- the shiny side should face outward!
8) Cut another length of ribbon from the 3/8 inch roll of ribbon about 12 inches in length.
7) Using a hot glue gun, glue the ends of the ribbon so it is about ½ an inch from the bottom of the front flap, on top of the Japanese band slightly overlapping the bottom of the previous ribbon glued so that the ends also meet in the centre of the front flap.
8) Glue the front printed square on the Front Square Backing provided.
9) Glue this piece about ¾ of an inch from bottom of the closed invitation making sure to only put glue on the top half of the piece so that the tag can hang off the front flap of the invitation but the invitation does not get glued shut.
10) Glue the Response card you have printed to the Response Card Backing and slip in ribbon panel with response envelope on the inside of the invitation.
